Assistant Manager Regulatory will be responsible for analysis of
regulatory framework and managing spectrum policy issues. Interacting
with internal and external stakeholders on regulatory and spectrum
challenges will be part of the responsibility.
Degree(s)/Major(s): B.SC/BE Electrical Engineering / Advance degree in related subjects
Experience Required: 5 years or more of relevant regulatory experience with at least one year experience in managing spectrum issues
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead the design, implementation, and monitoring of Spectrum Strategy and ensure the buy-in from local as well as Group stakeholders.
Knowledge on National Frequency Plan, Spectrum Management Reforms, Pricing, efficient utilization of spectrum, Spectrum Trading, refarming etc.
Effectively participate in policy reviews conducted by Regulator/Ministry and incorporate Telenor's recommendations in such reviews.
Proactively engage in the 3G auction process.
Knowledge of Trends in Fixed & Mobile Convergence.
Analyze regulatory framework and policies to ensure compliance and make suitable recommendations.
Handling the license provisions in a manner to avoid adverse impact on the company.
Prepare comprehensive response to consultation papers published by PTA/MoIT/USF.
Develop & maintain regulatory knowledge of international regulations and standards to ensure benchmarking within Telenor. Identification of future telecom and regulatory trends.
Develop and nurture a collaborative working relationship with all regulatory authorities in telecom sector which directly affect the company's interest.
Ensuring regulatory efficiency by providing timely industry comments and monthly/quarterly reporting to PTA.
Preparation of proposals to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks.
Defend company business interest in international forums and business units.
Presentations to the top management on relevant issues.
