Aga Khan University Invites Applications for the following positions in IT Division:

Network & Systems Engineer (NETWORKS)
The Incumbent will be responsible to provide necessary support to network systems (LAN&WAN), remote access and internetwork infrastructures including network design, hardware provisioning, installation, customization, problem analysis and its resolution. S/he is also expected to have through knowledge of the Gisco/3Com platforms with emphasis of routers, switches, content devices, VPN and firewalls, DNS architecture, understanding of TCP/IP addressing; IP subnetting: IPSec, SNA, SNMP, IP based protocols, traffic shaping and network security. The candidate should process Bachelor’s Master’s Degree in Computer Systems Engineering with minimum 5 years of technical support experience. CCNA, CCNP certificate holders will be preferred.

Network & Systems Engineer (systems)
The incumbent will be responsible to design. Implement & support system projects and act as a team lead for routine network and systems administration in AKU infrastructure setup. S/he will also be responsible to ensure availability of critical business systems in order to meet designated service standards, effectively work with virtualization technologies and liaison with Microsoft system centre products and antivirus. The candidate should possess bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer systems Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in similar capacity.

Network & Systems Programmer
The incumbent will be responsible to implement and provide support to network systems (LAN & WAN) along with the integration of windows platform, messaging and necessary assistance to the team for network administration. S/he will also be responsible to ensure availability of servers in order to meet designated service standards along with testing connectivity of hardware/ software setup to other servers /remote stations and study current campus wide network design as and when required.
