Project Manager – Integrated Banking Application Implementation

The Job:
Work closely with project teams to ensure consistent, open and transparent communication with the Project Steering Committee and the donor appointed Consultant.
Ensure appropriate buy0in, input and communication from/with end-user community.
Act as escalation point for change management regarding issues, design decision, etc.
Chief Spokesperson to Program Steering Committee regarding all aspects of changes management.
Responsible for timely business signoff on all agreed project deliverables,. i.e. Systems integration Test (SIIT), Users Acceptance Test (UAT), Change Management documents etc.
Directly manage bank resources dedicated full-time to the project their assigned deliverable and their performance.
Negotiate and manage scope and timeline issues.
Ensure that the business requirements for their process areas are clearly communicated to the vendor team.
Assist team leads in delivering project deliverables such as writing test plans, executing test plans, enhancing procedures, documenting issues and design. Manage and mitigate any associated risk.
Receive training from vendor and then act as a trainer to end-users.
Provide project progress on a weekly basis to Donor appointed Consultant onsite or offsite based on the agreed Project Implementation Plan. Also facilitate monitoring of project deliverables and payment milestones.

The Candidate
Preferably MCS from a reputed recognized university. Post-CS Business Administration degree will be an added advantage.
Around 12 years of relevant experience with 6 eyars in Project and Program Management of Core Banking or equivalent complexity systems implementations.
Possess at least one internationally accepted Project Management Certification.
Knowledge of Savings mobilization will be an added advantage.
Must have proven expertise in at least any two of the following areas:
Enterprise-class hardware/software systems management.

IT Governance, Risk & Compliance.
Core Banking Application (Design, Development, Implementation).
SQA & Testing (All types of function and non-function testing).

Must be fully conversant with PMO requirements and IT Governance models.
Well versed with business side of a technology project.
Excellent communication and customer management skills.
Highly motivated with an interest in solving problems.
Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Willing to travel and work at bank's locations across the country.
Preferably be less than 40 years of age.
