The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), is a private, non-denominational, international development agency established in 1967. It seeks sustainable solution to long-term problems of poverty, hunger, illiteracy and ill-health with special emphasis on the needs of rural communities in mountainous and other resource poor regions, primarily I Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Its main areas of focus are education, health rural development, environment and strengthening civil society.
The Aga Khan Foundation (Pakistan) [AKF(P)] is seeking high caliber professionals for the following positions to be based in Islamabad.
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)
The incumbent will report to the CEO.S/he will perform a variety of administration and secretarial duties to assist the C.E.O.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan and organize CEO's activities and coordinate his communications with internal and external stakeholders (nationally/internationally).
Maintain and circulate (when required) a variety of records. Lists and files including confidential materials.
Provide regular support in preparing letters, reports memoranda and other materials.
Attend meetings, take minutes and follow-up on action items, as required.
Required Qualifications:
The incumbent should have a Bachelors or higher degree supplemented by secretarial training with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates with good written & spoken English, excellent interpersonal skills & knowledge of MS Office and ability to work in a diversified team environment are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to the candidates having adequate knowledge of shorthand skills.
RECEPTIONIST
The incumbent will report to the Administration Officer and will be responsible for managing the front office at AKF(P).
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Receive, direct and relay telephone messages.
Receive visitors & guests and provide necessary information and assistance.
Receive and maintain a register of all incoming postal mails and ensure its timely distribution to respective officials.
Assist Administrative Officer in various administrative matters.
Required Qualifications:
The incumbent should have a Bachelors degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Candidates with good written & spoken English, excellent interpersonal skills & knowledge of MS Office and ability to work in a diversified team environment are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to the candidates having worked at the front office in the hospitality sector.
